Providing the tools for branded consistency

The client:

Centrex, the police training and development agency and the COI.

The brief:

To update the core Centrex identity and brand guidelines, and develop a new style for all
Centrex literature.

Our solution:

First, the Centrex logo was updated to
incorporate their new explanatory strap line.
Then, the existing literature was audited,
identifying the need for a flexible template
to ensure consistency of layout, type
and photographic style. We provided this
template and recreated the brand guidelines – updating them to accommodate new applications such as signage.

We also designed the first Annual Report in
the literature style that had been created.
Optimism also helped Centrex to update their customer newsletter (Horizons) in line with
thenew identity, refreshing its appeal for a
wide range of readers – including police
training departments, senior police officers
and Government stakeholders, as well as
prospective UK and overseas students.
